I don't remember much since i was a kid when i watched this movie.

It was a kungfu/Martial arts chinese movie. Made possibly in the early 90s to mid 90s. The setting takes place in the older chinese days.

Near the beggining of the movie, i remember there was a young man (the protagonist) who has a friend and the friend dies in a fire because he was attacked by an assassin. The friend works by carrying rice sacks around. The assassin is mental and has a son who he loves.

In another scene, there is this old skinny man with a long gray beard who puts on a puppet show. I know he has a fat wife and they can't have kids and the fat wife is really bossy towards him. But later he toughens up and bosses his wife around. I remember the protagonist lives with this couple after an incident.

In the end, the protagonist kills the assassin/mental man and the protagonist takes the son with him.
